The history between Little Villa and Des Plaines goes deep. In 1959 Robert Mele Sr. started his pizza journey at his father in laws restaurant about a mile east of this location. Pioneers in the business, Cesar Pizza was said to be one of the first in Des Plaines to deliver. Fast forward 10 years, Bob set out to start Little Villa Restaurant and that's where the legacy of "Robert M Mele Sr" really started. Little Villa would go on to be one of the most loved, most popular Italian restaurant / pizza places in the northwest suburbs.
Little Villa was more than the neighborhood "Pizza Restaurant" it was a place where people celebrated accomplishments such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and milestones... Little Villa was also there to comfort many during the toughest of times such as mourning a loved one, or bring friends and families together to work out their differences... No matter the occasion, a Little Villa Pizza was a symbol of unity and comfort.
Pizza this good could not be shelved. This was the perfect time to bring back Little Villa and start a new chapter in the book. We look forward to once again being part of your families stories, your friends getting togethers, your kids sporting events and of course when you are under the weather, we hope our pizza can light up your day. The story continues, and we are honored to have you part of it.
